Septic System Recommendations and Contraindications for use and Maintenance

The septic tank system as any machine that requires maintenance and proper use. This article provides information about the correct

use and care of your "septic system" septic tank and operation. At least, the septic tank should be pumped out every three to five years.

If you don't decide to keep your septic system is what you can look forward to a:

1. a septic system can be a threat to the health of families and the environment, especially their right to the supply of drinking water or near the waters of the recreational Lake.

2 reduces the value of the property and has a negative experience with your neighbors.

3. a septic system is expensive to repair and can require constant pumping of the septic tank, possible installation of a
deposit, or possibly may have to leave your House to complete costly repairs.

4. unordered sewage backups in house (ruining your wood or carpet) or residual gas odors in your home.

The warning signs you may have a problem with its operation of septic systems:

* Surface water drainage, filter sand or mount.
* Slow draining bathtubs, sinks and basins, frequent backups and water over the septic tank.
* Grass Green and lush and wet the soil saturated in the operation. Smells like gas and odor of sewage.

DON'T DO THESE THINGS

* Add excessive amounts of caustic chemicals into the system. Normal household cleaning products in moderate amounts doesn't harm your septic system, but toxic chemicals or concentrates can kill the good bacteria in your septic system.

* Do not drive cars or machinery, vehicles parked or machines above the septic tank or the drain area.

* Do not put oils, grease, grease or fat down the drain of the sink. Separate the fats and fats in a can or container and throw it in the trash as part of your household waste.

* Do not like bathrooms bathroom shop, garage, motor homes or downspouts of your channel on septic tank system.

* Do not put diapers or wipes, feminen products or other materials containing non-biodegradable substances in the septic tank. (although disposable wipes!) This is for houses with sewage only!)

To not waste water out of the shower Open for long periods of time while waiting to be heated.

* Do not use large amounts of water on the same day. to extend the use of high volume water usage throughout the week. In other words do not wash your clothes Saturday and
It is preferable to run the dishwasher and washing machine separate day.

* Don't plant trees in or near the septic tank or drain, embankment system or sand filter box. The roots may interfere with the Custom Gas Tanks and baffles and blockage or damage the distribution pipes and the drain.

The HRM, most septic tank additives are not needed for these products and residential septic systems should never replace the septic tank pumping maintenance time. Most of the time, the so-called cleaners will cause the layer of sludge and waste that decomposes into fine particles enough to be pushed out in the operation, which causes clogged sewer lines.

* Do not turn off the tank ATU (aerobic treatment unit), even if on vacation.

* Disclaimer * I do not believe that these sales people for cleaning of septic tank enzymes. They will tell you that if you are using your product, you'll never have the new pump septic tank ... The truth is that these products will break down the solids in the tank and are then sent to the operation. You don't have to pump the septic tank, so many times, but you will have to replace the drain in place. This is not a good trade-off. Your septic tank every 3 years at about $ 400.00 or have your septic system replaced for $ 10,000? Be responsible and pump the septic tank in 3 years.

DO THESE THINGS!

There is a maintenance plan with your professional septic tank pumping -If you have a filtered output deflector, schedule your maintenance professional of septic system clears the screen on an annual basis. This will prevent screens blocked, causing a backup messed up in the House.

* Properly use and maintain the system, which includes the septic tank pumping, inspect your septic system, brushed the bottle sides (when recommended by your team of septic tank pumping and other maintenance items recommended by your septic system service technician.

* Diverting surface water runoff and drainage area roof and septic tank.

* Install low-flow toilets and washing machines and other water conservation devices.

* Run the dishwasher and washing machine with only loads complete and extend the clothing throughout the week. Is better
Run the dishes and clothes, many times during the week, instead of doing all the clothes on Saturday. There's no more laundry day!

* Keep records of their pumping septic tanks, septic tank top and drainfiled location, inspections of septic system (AS-Built drawing), maintenance and repairs made to the system.

Avoid the construction of hangars or parking in the area of operation. Avoid having won on septic tank area or because it may damage the drainage lines.

* Make sure that the alarm works properly for the pump and sand filter for distribution systems with an audible and visual alarm to alert you to problems.

  1. I really like these tips on how to effectively use and maintain your septic system. I don't think I know much about the tank ATU. From what the article says, it sounds like something you don't ever want to turn off. I'm curious about how that system works. http://www.biosystems2000.com.au/profile

  2. There are a lot of rules of do and don't for your septic system. I hadn't considered not flushing certain products down the toilet. In all my years as a homeowner, I don't think I have ever had the septic system checked. Is there a general price for having my septic system examined?
